Minor Programs in IE

The Department administers two minor programs for Boğaziçi University students: Operations Research and Production and Service Systems. Rules and regulations for minor programs are available here. (In Turkish)

Minor program in Operations Research 

The minor program in Operations Research is designed to give Boğaziçi students the basic tools and techniques of OR.

Students must take two required courses and four elective courses on top of their regular load in their major programs to be eligible for the minor degree.

Required Courses:

  • IE 202 Operations Research I (4 Cr.)
  • IE 305 Operations Research II (4 Cr.)

Elective Courses (4 of the following):

  • IE 306 Systems Simulation (4 Cr.)
  • IE 360 Statistical Forecasting and Time Series (3 Cr.)
  • IE 420 OR Modeling and Applications (3 Cr.)
  • IE 440 Nonlinear Models in OR (3 Cr.)
  • IE 441 Planning for Engineers (3 Cr.)
  • IE 450 Stochastic Models in OR (3 Cr.)
  • IE 456 Graph Theory and Applications (3 Cr.)

 

Minor program in Production and Service Systems

The minor program in Production and Service Systems is designed to give Boğaziçi students an in-depth understanding of Production and Service Systems.

Students must take two required courses and four elective courses on top of their regular load in their major programs to be eligible for the minor degree.

  • IE 312 Facilities Design and Planning (4 Cr.)
