WIRELESS CONNECTION SETTINGS FOR WINDOWS XP

Wireless connection is only available to IE domain users. If you are a student or personnel of the Industrial Engineering Department and do not have a user ID, please ask the department secreteriat to get your user information.

The name of the departmantal wireless connection is IE-GRADS. You have make the necessary adjustments in the connection settings to be able to get connected from your laptop computer.

From wireless connections of your computer, select IE-GRADS and open the properties;

Click the Properties button;

From Association tab, select WPA as Network Authentication and AES as Data encryption;

From Autentication tab, select PEAP as EAP type, unselect the two options below.

Enter Properties for EAP, unselect Validate server certificate. Make sure that Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP-v2) is selected in Authentical Method box below. Click Configure button;

Unselect the option in the opened window and click OK.

Click OK to close the EAP properties window. Select Connection tab of IE-GRADS properties window and click the option to connect when this network is in range. Then click OK to close the IE-GRADS properties window.

Move the IE-GRADS up in the wireless connections list and click OK to close the Wireless Network Connection properties window.

Now Windows will ask you for credentials.
Enter your domain user name and password (the user name and password that you use in logging into lab computers) and enter IE as the domain name.
