RESEARCH LABORATORIES

:: BUFAIM - Flexible Automation and Integrated Manufacturing Systems Laboratory

The aim of the Laboratory is to realize a multi-purpose, interdisciplinary Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) environment where research on advanced manufacturing technologies and their integration issues can be implemented and presented to academia and industry. The "model factory" will compromise of a number of flexible cells that will represent several flexible automation concepts including machine vision and an automated guided vehicle (AGV).

:: MMS - Manufacturing Management Systems Laboratory

MMS aims to make the state-of-the-art ERP software available to BU-IE students. MMS also carries out and supports research in Production Management Systems and Supply Chain Management Systems. With increasing merge of Supply Chain Management and e-Business practices, MMS Lab. carries out research on e-Business, particularly on intelligent agents and electronic marketplaces.

:: SESDYN - Socio-Economic System Dynamics Research Group Laboratory

The main goal of SESDYN studies is to model, analyze and improve strategic socio-economic management problems, from a "Dynamic Systems" perspective. Socio-economic problems that are either specific to Turkey or of universal nature are modelled and analyzed using systems thinking and dynamic computer simulation.

:: QFRG - Quantitative Finance Research Group

The Quantitative Finance Research Group's vision is to be an internationally recognised research group in the field of quantitative finance.

:: ErgoLab - Ergonomics Laboratory

The mission of the Ergonomics Laboratory at Boðaziçi University is to conduct scholarly research in ergonomics, the study of work and the efficiency and safety of human-machine systems, while training students to become the research scientists and ergonomics/safety practitioners of tomorrow.
