About SESDYN Research Group

The main goal of SESDYN studies is to model, analyze and improve strategic socio-economic management problems, from a "Dynamic Systems" Perspective. Socio-economic problems that are either specific to Turkey or of universal nature are modelled and analyzed using systems thinking and dynamic computer simulation.

SESDYN group is in contact with the International System Dynamics Society and other "system" institutions. SESDYN group leader Prof. Yaman Barlas was the president of the System Dynamics Society for 1998. The group, with the supervision of Yaman Barlas has organized The International System Dynamics Conference'97.

 

 


Group's past and current major projects are listed in the projects section. The projects are supported by TUBITAK (Turkish Scientific Research Council), Bogazici University Research Fund and some other private institutions.
